Do you ever feel like other kids know a secret formula for making and keeping friends...but nobody told you how to do it?
Getting along with your peers takes skills like listening, empathy, assertiveness, and resolving conflicts. The good news is that those skills are things you can learn! During our week together, we'll discuss fresh ideas for relating to others. Then we'll practice them using role-playing and other techniques drawn from the world of theatre. Prepare for the new school year by equipping yourself with stronger social skills!
Students will be expected to share short role-playing scenarios in front of their peers who are enrolled in the camp. If your child is very shy, this may not be the best environment for them.
What Students Are Saying
“I made new friends and had so much more fun than I expected to have.”
“I felt I could be myself in this environment.”
“I felt safe and welcome.”
“The teachers were the best.”
